At the Temple of Zeus, you can order nearly anything you want on our menu! We prepare three specialty soups each morning and assemble salads and sandwiches throughout the day using our locally-sourced meats, cheeses, breads, and vegetables.
If you're looking for a quick snack, we've got you covered with plenty of drinks and sweets to choose from! Don't hesitate to stop by with your friends and grab a bite!
Back in 1997, the former manager of the cafe brought along chefs Choklay Lhamo and Nyima Dhondup to greatly expand our popular soup offerings.
Lhamo previously owned a restaurant in her home country of Tibet and, after moving to Ithaca, has shared her expertise in crafting delicious soups for the daily rush of customers! You'll see all kinds of recipes on our menu, ranging from Asian curries to African soups!
The name "Temple of Zeus" comes from the plaster casts created from the actual Temple of Zeus in Greece. They used to lined the walls of the original cafe, when it was simply a popular meeting spot for students and faculty.
The cafe has grown tremendously from its humble origins selling simple donuts and coffee. Today, we're proud and excited to be carrying on that legacy while working to enrich the Temple of Zeus experience!
